People of means can usually get a gift or a loan from a parent, grandparent or friend. Folks of more limited resources have a significantly harder time getting started.

The Athlete’s Advantageis a 501(c)3 corporation that provides cash grants and scholarships to young adults recognized as athletic leaders.  A portion of all revenues from the activities of The Athlete’s Advantagecan be contributed to grants and scholarships, as well as any donations received.
